Care to Recycle

27-Oct-2013 Taking its recycling campaign to "the smallest room in the house," Johnson & Johnson has launched Care to Recycle, an online educational initiative aimed at increasing recycling bathroom items. The site has tips, videos and blog posts encouraging Americans to recycle bathroom items typically thrown in the trash like empty shampoo bottles, toilet paper rolls and magazines.

Johnson & Johnson will also begin providing recycling reminders on their packaging. A study indicated that while 70 percent of Americans recycle, just 20 percent recycle bathroom items. "Because many of our personal care products are used or stored in the bathroom, we wanted to understand if Americans are recycling there," Frank said. "After reviewing the results of the research, we saw a very real opportunity to help reduce waste by education people about recyclable bathroom items."
